Your data, your choice. See what we collect, how we use it and how to stay in control.

01Your choice

Optional analytics stays off until you allow it. Change your choice anytime using "Cookie preferences" in the footer or "Privacy & feedback".

This page explains how USC Consulting Group, LLC ("USC") uses cookies and visitor data. It complements our Privacy Statement & Terms of Use.

02Essential storage

We save your choice, the date and the policy version in local storage (usc-visitor-consent-v1). This stays until you change it or clear browser storage and is not used for advertising.

We use session storage (usc-visitor-session-v1) for a random visit code after you allow analytics, or when you submit feedback without analytics. The code expires after 30 minutes of inactivity or eight hours; session storage normally clears when the tab closes. Feedback works without allowing analytics.

Signed-in administrators also use authentication storage to stay logged in.

03Optional analytics

If you allow analytics, a random visit code links the pages and internal links you open, including resources, assessments and contact pages. It is not your name, email or a device fingerprint. Visits end after 30 minutes of inactivity or eight hours.

We record the general source of your visit, such as search, an AI assistant or social media, when your browser provides it. Our own analytics does not look up your location or company from your IP address, store your full IP address, record your screen or form entries, or use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking or fingerprinting.

With your consent, Leadfeeder processes your IP address and visit activity to identify visiting companies. It does not load before consent or on admin and sign-in pages. Authorized USC staff can see company names, approximate locations and pages viewed. Company identification is not verification of an individual’s identity, and we do not automatically link it to our own visit records.

Leadfeeder documents the _lfa visitor cookie (one year), the _lfa_consent choice cookie when enabled (two years), a temporary _lfa_test_cookie_stored cookie, and _lfa_expiry local storage (two years). The cookies used depend on its configuration and your browser.

04Session recordings

With your consent, Microsoft Clarity records how you interact with public pages and creates heatmaps to help us improve the site. It may use analytics cookies, including _clck for a browser identifier and preferences and _clsk to group page views into a session. Microsoft also documents third-party cookies whose use depends on consent and browser settings. Form entries and privacy controls are masked. Clarity does not load before consent or on admin and sign-in pages, and tracking stops if you withdraw consent. Advertising storage is denied.

Clarity uses its own sessions and retention rules. Turning it off does not delete earlier recordings. Microsoft’s current guidance says individual-user recordings cannot be deleted separately; deleting the whole project is required. Contact us about your rights and available options.

05Website feedback

You can send feedback without allowing analytics. We save your message, feedback type, current page link and optional email so USC can review it. Without analytics, it is not linked to your browsing history. If you separately agree to contact sharing and match a contact, the feedback record may also reference that HubSpot contact.

06Optional contact sharing

After allowing analytics, you can separately share your email to match your visit to an existing HubSpot contact. We never infer your identity from browsing.

If matched, resource, assessment and contact-link openings, plus a feedback-submission signal, may be added to your contact record as notes. General browsing and feedback text are not sent as activity notes. Contact forms use the separate consent shown on those forms.

07Why we use analytics

We use it to improve content, understand visits and distinguish human traffic from automation. We follow up based on visit activity only if you choose contact sharing. Optional analytics and contact matching rely on your consent.

08How long we keep data

A daily cleanup removes our visit records and events once both their recorded date and creation date are more than 30 days old. Deletion happens at the next successful cleanup, not exactly at the 30-day mark. Leadfeeder and Clarity follow their own retention rules.

Submitted feedback and contact inquiries are separate from visit analytics and are not deleted by this cleanup. HubSpot notes follow our CRM retention practices. Contact us to request deletion. Your cookie choice stays until you change it or clear browser storage.

09Who processes data

Our website hosting provider helps run the site. With your consent, Microsoft Clarity processes interaction data and Leadfeeder processes company-identification data. HubSpot manages contact records and any activity you separately agree to share. These providers also have access to the data they process, subject to their terms and privacy policies. Data may be processed outside your country, including in the United States. Our own visit records are not used for targeted advertising, and advertising storage is denied in Clarity.

10Turning analytics off

Open "Cookie preferences" or "Privacy & feedback" and select "Stop analytics & sharing". Future analytics and HubSpot sharing stop for your browser.

Withdrawing consent does not delete earlier data. Our visit records are removed by the daily cleanup described above; Leadfeeder and Clarity follow their own retention rules. Contact us about deletion requests and any provider limitations.

11Security

Our analytics dashboard is restricted to authorized USC administrators. Providers also process the data described above. Data sent by this site travels over encrypted connections.

12Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, privacy laws may let you access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data; object to or restrict its use; opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising; or complain to a privacy authority. When your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, this site treats optional analytics as declined and do not discriminate against you for using your rights.

To make a request, email it@usccg.com or call +1 800.888.8872. We may need to verify your identity.

13Policy updates

We will update this page and its date when our practices change, and ask for your choice again when required.
