USCCG Action Plan: Met with plant managers to review every procedure, from forecasting through materials procurement and manufacturing, including inventory controls and order processing. Segregated one cast line to prototype process improvements, which were subsequently rolled out throughout the plant. Reduced excessive handling of WIP. Improved material flow and staging to increase manufacturing velocity. Reorganized shipping function so total loads could be staged more efficiently.
